Breeder Cattle Northern

Breeder cattle from the northern tropical areas for export are Bos Indicus breeds such as Brahman and Brahman Crossbreds, Brangus, Senepol, Santa Gertrudis and Droughtmaster. Bos Indicus cattle provide a leaner meat that is suitable for many of the Asian markets and are widely used in crossbreeding programmes with Bos Taurus (British and Continental) breeds including Limousin, Lowline and Simmental.

		Sex	Bulls and Heifers
		Weight Ranges	150 to 650 kgs (can be higher depending on Government approval)
		Ages	8 to 24 months
		Pedigrees	Pedigree certificates available from Breed Societies
		Pregnancy Status	Available joined or unjoined (Veterinary Pregnancy Certificate supplied)
